I went in for an oil change, and my vehicle manufacturer specifies 0W-30 or 5W-30 oil. I was instead recommended 0W-20, which does not meet the manufacturer’s specification for my car. I requested 0W-40, which I regularly use, and was quoted $24 per quart. That price is significantly higher than typical retail pricing (usually around $8–$12 per quart for the same oil). Due to the incorrect oil recommendation and the high pricing, I chose not to proceed.

WOMEN or if you don’t know a lot about cars read this: I went to get a transmission fluid change and I knew it was low so I asked them to fill up. I wanted to make sure they did the service and when I asked them to show me they said the car needed to be on the elevador. WRONG!!! You check just like a regular oil change so I popped the hood and I as a woman picked it the stick from the oil (they said they didn’t have the stick to check the transmission fluid HOW?? They are a auto care and they don’t have it?) I asked for a cloth to clean the stick and checked the level, it was ok. Being a woman it’s HARD to find any mechanic that is honest they are always trying to fool us but they didn’t fool me. My dad taught me everything I needed for this service and they still tried to deceive me. I feel sad cuz I spoke to Noah lots of times before bringing my car and he was polite and everything but when I walked in everything changed. So my advice: if you’re a woman or you don’t know exactly what needs to be done and how it’s done PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK otherwise they’ll fool you.

If you are looking for a place with knowledgeable, trustworthy and caring people to maintain your car at a reasonable price, then go no further! I have taken my Corvettes and other vehicles to Coastline Auto Care for many years with absolutely no issues. Recently, Benny, the owner’s son, replaced the a/c condenser in my corvette. This required removing all of the dash and instruments, steering system, engine components and seats. Benny, after removing and reinstalling hundreds of parts, returned my car with it looking and running as it did from the factory! I would highly recommend Jesus, Benny, Bruce and the rest of the staff for your maintenance and repair needs. Thanks, guys!

After talking to multiple "classic car" auto shops around Huntington and finding extremely high prices and long wait times, I was about to give up and do the repairs myself but a neighbor referred me to Bruce at Coastline Auto Care. I gave Bruce a visit and explained my engine repair needs and he accepted the job (classic cars can sometimes take extra attention). Bruce was straightforward, knowledgeable, and fair. Finally, I felt like I'd found the right shop. I'm very particular about entrusting my restored 73 Camaro to a shop having had bad experiences with a few shops that specialize in "classic cars". Bruce's mechanics fixed the problem and left my engine bay looking as good as when I brought it in. All I can say is wow, Bruce and his guys are awesome, this is now my go-to auto shop!

Finally a mechanic I trust. Bruce and Benny are very personable and knowledgeable. Put a new engine in my van in a very reasonable time and price. I'm hesitant to write reviews until I know for sure but can now honestly say these guys are great. Have been back to them a couple of times for other repairs too and are always a pleasure to work with.
